Not able to Deactivate this plugin

I am having a problem getting the WordPress Customizer to load so I can make some adjustments.The page keeps trying to load and tells me “This page was reloaded because of a problem.” I am thinking that this plugin may be hampering it.

I tried to deactivate the plugin. At the top of the Plugins page, it says it was deactivated but it doesn’t show as deactivated in the list of my plugins. I have logged off the site and closed the browser and returned to the site but the plugin still isn’t deactivated. I’ve tried several times. I am able to deactivate other plugins–just not this one. I notice that there is an option to drop back to the previous version. Will that help?

I am using WordPress 4.9.6 and the Aaron theme.
