This isn’t a support question, but would it be a good idea SEO-wise to noindex tag, author, and maybe some category pages? Not sure what value these pages have in search.

    Hello!

I recommend following this rule of thumb: If you think a page wouldn’t be a great page for visitors to land on via the search engine, apply ‘noindex’ to it!

However, keep in mind that every page on your site needs a link before it gets indexed. If you deindex a page that holds the only link to another page, that other page might get deindexed as well. So, it’s best to keep some form of archive indexable, even if it won’t serve as a great landing page.

Thanks Sybre! I didn’t consider that. Makes sense.
