• Hi I am new to all of this and am totally confused,
    I have a web site hosted by one.com.
    A couple of months ago I arranged for someone to build a site for me he has since disappeared of the face of the earth, now when I go to my site all that is there is a demo page which is controlled by wordpress
    but I cannot acces it because I don’t have the username or password, I have rebuilt a new page(using one.com software) but it will not publish because the other page is still there can ayone HELP!!!!!!

  • You will need to delete the WordPress installation OR access the database to change the passwords. Here’s a link to recovering the password for WordPress.

    many thanks for your reply but i managed to overcome it by deleting the file that he created(in my root directory) using wordpress. I have now gone back to using the very poor web creation page supplied by one.com. HO HUM!!!!!

    No worries! You may want to look at using WordPress. While there’s a small learning curve involved, it’s a great content management system to learn.
