    Hi,

I’m new to WordPress, and I am having a problem editing the website theme. When I go into the editor, I don’t have an Upload file button to save what I’ve edited. I’m trying to get a new website up and running, can someone please help. Thanks.

  • You don’t need to upload anything if you are making changes through the Editor. Just save your changes. If you prefer to edit your files on your own machine and then upload them, you’ll need to do this FTP.

Thank you. I mistyped, I meant to say that there is no “UPDATE FILE” button. Sorry for the confusion

Does it say somewhere on top: “you have to set this file to “writable” etc etc before yo can save any changes”? or words like that?
If do, yo need FTP acces to your theme files to change the writing rights to 0664 or higher.
