No upcoming events: just do normal behavior

Hi, I’ve used both the free and paid versions of this plugin for years and I’m struggling with some current behavior. I’m using the latest free version for a new site, and if there are no upcoming events:

1. You can’t click forward through any month past the most recent event

2. The current month will not show the Month calendar view, only a list of previous events

I don’t want either of those things. Googling brings up some support threads with links to solve #1, but the link leads to a 404 page. I managed to dig up a Github snippet for a class called ContinualMonthViewPagination but that doesn’t work. I can’t find any solution for #2.

I don’t want the calendar to decide what month I’m able to navigate to, or how it should look when I get there. I just want to show the month calendar view for whatever month my user should desire to look at. Is this still possible?
