I used the WordPress Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin to only run Burst with a default theme and get no stats. I tried with the site’s essential plugins (Advanced Sermon and ME Calendar) along with my theme, but, no stats. I opened an incognito window to the site, but still no stats in Burst. There are no errors in the console. I have tried multiple browsers on multiple devices: no stats. There are no web optimizations running at the provider (Westhost). What am I missing?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @dirkt,

Could it be that your own IP is blocked from tracking? This setting is enabled in the Burst onboarding.

    If not, let me know!

    Kind regards,

One of the first things I did was to clear my IP address from that setting. And that would only have kept my own testing from being tracked, right? Any non-Administrator should be tracked according to my understanding of the settings, and most of the use will be by anonymous users.

Wow, I know this church site is low traffic but there have not been any stats since 2026-06-13 20:05:03. I’m trying now to figure out what I did then.

When I check your site it shows a successful hit on the endpoint, so from the website side it looks to be configured correctly.

If you install the WP Debugging plugin, do you see any errors in the debug log related to Burst?

You tried loading the website in an anonymous browser, but please also try loading the Burst dashboard in an anonymous browser to see if the dashboard itself has anything cached.

I see these errors after turning DEBUG on, bur nothing related to Burst. Running the dashboard from an anonymous browser was no different. It looks like everything is working, except that no stats are being created.

can you go to Tools /Site Health, info, click copy. Then send that to support(at)burst-statistics.com

this includes all info there is on Burst, which might give me some clue.

I m sending the report now, Rogier. Thanks.

I have been turning a lot of knobs trying to make something work, and Burst was capturing new stats for a bit this morning. Unfortunately I wasn’t paying attention , and it now is not working again.

For other readers: this was a conflict with a theme, which caused the burst_uid to be empty. A patch is included in 3.6.3.
