That is why there is phpMyAdmin to restore DB Backups. It would be fairly easy to recreate phpMyAdmin all over again and add it to a plugin, but in my opinion that would be a foolish waste of time considering something already exists that already does this. That would be like reinventing the car. You can restore a backup in phpMyAdmin with only 1 or 2 clicks.
I would rather do a restore manually then have a plugin do it anyway and so would many other ppl, also maybe you should have read the plugin description a little more. it never states you can restore from within the plugin, it would have been your fault if you deleted your site, I mean who just deletes there site all Willy Nilly Like anyway?
To the dev:
The plugin is well made and achieves everything it claims to do.
It can be restores from standar wp import, if you back it up as xml..
it’s awesome backup plugin..
I’ve just rebuilt my site based on files generated by BackWPup.
I feel your one star is unjustified, sorry
@edradour @daniel.Dolores
I have also just transferred two websites to another host using BackWPup backup files, no problem.
One star is certainly unjustified, just because you don’t know how to use your backup file!
@all many thanks for the support
Is there ANY free backup plugin that includes a restore option? I don’t think so. Easy restores from backups are one of those things you pay for, though as many other people pointed out, you can certainly figure out how to restore your files yourself with a little research.
