no receiving html email & would like admin notification

have just started using your forum – it is lovely.

Doing a test posting, the email received when subscribing to a topic does not come out properly – it was received as per the text at the bottom of this – also, as admin, can I receive an email whenever a new topic is created? etc?

I am happy to pay for this.
