No Plugin Settings are defined for sending Articles to Buffer

    Trying to setup automatic posts of articles to buffer, followed instructions, authorized the plugin, configured the message in the “articles” tab.

    I keep on getting the following error in the logs:

    “No Plugin Settings are defined for sending Articles to Buffer when you Update a Article. To send statuses to Buffer on Update, navigate to WP to Buffer > Settings > Articles Tab > Update Action Tab, and tick “Enabled”.”

    I definitely ticked the “enabled box, tried several times, tried enabling publish or update, unauthorized then re-authorized the plugin, tried to look at web console log, or server log, didn’t find anything….

    I also got this warning on top of the settings page:

    “You must connect at least one social media account to Buffer for WP to Buffer to send status updates. Click here to do this on Buffer”

    I got an instagram account connected, I can still post to that account from Buffer manually.

    Also on my buffer account, I can see under “connected apps” that the “wordpress to buffer” is present

    Using WordPress 5.5.1, no other issues on the site

    Instagram isn’t supported in this free version of the Plugin.

    To resolve, either:

    1. Upgrade to WordPress to Buffer Pro; your Instagram account will then be available for selection, and status(es) will be scheduled to it, and/or

    2. Connect alternate social media profile(s) through Buffer, such as Facebook or Twitter; you’ll then be able to select them in the Plugin for scheduled publishing.
