No page template is made

    Dear everyone,

    I have a small problem with WP Bulletin Board that I would like to fix. When I install the plugin on my website, it makes a page automatically but I can’t see the WPBB template in the page templates drop down menu.

    When I try to install the plugin on a new WordPress installation it seems to work fine and it automatically makes a Forum page and a WPBB page template. Can anoybody help me out? I use the theme Project AR2 and the latest version of WordPress.

    Hey Creatingz,

    It sounds like it wasn’t able to create the file wpbb-template.php in your theme folder. All you have to do is move/copy wp-bulletin-board/wpbb-template.php to your current theme folder should work fine then.

    Hi!

    How do you move or copy the file correctly? Could you describe in details please. I am just a beginner. I found the file wp-bulletin-board/wpbb-template.php and tried to move it to the theme folder but then I got Apache page instead of my own!!! I contacted my web-hosting provider and they said there were many files missing for my website to work. I obviously did something wrong. The template for my forum was not formed and I am afraid to try and spoil something again.

    All you have to do YipJien is move wpbb-template.php to your theme folder (the current theme you’re using). You can find wpbb-template.php in the wp-bulletin-board folder. You might want to copy it since if you change the theme it’ll try to copy/move that file to your theme folder itself and if you moved it it won’t exist. If you don’t have a copy, try download the plugin again for the file or create a file in your theme folder and paste in the contents, it’s only a few lines long.

    Thank you for answer codebycarter, but nothing happened. I copy wpbb-template.php to wp-content/themes/theme_root/ and forum sick look with bad width and inactive forum menu.

    I try deactivate plugin, re-copy…nothing.

    What I did was: I went to the theme folder and created a new file. I named it wpbb-template.php, then I copied and posted in the created file the content of the original file wpbb-template.php from the wp-bulletin-board folder. That’s it.

    YipJien, so it is working? That’s good. But it’s not displaying as you want it, that’s ok and is known to happen on some themes. Very difficult to be 100% compatible with every WP theme. Please email me an admin login and I’ll take a look at this for you and try to fix it. My email is me@codebycarter.com
