I posted this topic before in the Make forum. However, its appears not to be Make-related, as I have the same problem wit several other themes. I don’t know how to reach the admins, therefore I repost it here.

My admin panel doesn’t show icons. For instance, if I create a banner section there are no icons such as the cogwheel, pencil, trash can, and image. Instead of the icons there are little squares.

In another WP installation there are no problems.

    I’m using an iMac.

Has anybody any ideas what I should do let WP show the icons (other than reinstall)?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Hi esmi,

Following your instructions resolved the issue. Only after I cleared my browser’s cache, that is. So, you may consider including clearing the cache as a last step in the procedure.

Thank you very much for your help!

I Marked the topic as resolved.
