  • Hi John,

So sorry for the trouble here with Google Maps! I do see this come up from time-to-time and it’s definitely frustrating. I do appreciate that you’ve already taken the step to add the API key because that’s typically where we start.

I checked out your site and didn’t see any obvious errors like I normally do when this comes up.

As a test, would you be willing to follow the steps outlined in this guide:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts

That will help rule out conflicts with the theme and any other installed plugins.

Hopefully that helps pinpoint the issue. If not, though, it’s possible there could be an issue on the hosting end of things (Google Maps is not always great on shared hosting plans, for example) and that would be the next place I would recommend checking.

I had hoped the latest update would have fixed my Google Map issue but unfortunately it hasn’t. The map still doesn’t show and the web address of the venue disappears behind the graphics box where it should appear.
I’m afraid if this isn’t fixed I’m going to have to find another plugin if there is one.

    Hey @johnhedge,

Sorry you’re having issues, I’d be happy to help you here! 🙂

First, can you confirm for me that you’ve troubleshooted your Google Maps settings according to this guide, and that you’ve configured the API according to this doc?

Let me know how this goes, and we’ll work from there.

    Best,

    Shelby 🙂
