No files in language directory
-
I have 3 languages set on website (English, Dutch and French), but in /wp-content/languages/ I do not have any .po or .mo files. Is this normal?

when in admin can you change languages (admin language)?
No. I have menu to change the language, but selecting other language doesn’t make a difference, admin section is always on English.
in wp-content/languages are there folders plugins and themes?
No. I have menu to change the language, but selecting other language doesn’t make a difference, admin section is always on English.
change the flags when you choose a different language?
No, don’t have folders plugins and themes.
change the flags when you choose a different language?
Yes. I can select any of the languages, but all texts are on English in admin section. On front end everything works.
try this:
disable qTranslate X and then go to Settings – General and switch Site Language to the other languages with the WP function and see if this works.
If so then activate qTranslate X again.
I can’t change to other language in this way, I have only English there. But I see that on some plugins language changes to selected in admin, but all the rest is on English.
Is your website an update from an older version?
Please look for a new wp-config.php file where language is no longer included.

This is a new website with new installed qTranslate X. In config file language is not set. I have another one website with same conditions and same result. One older my website, which was with qTranslate and have .mo files in language directory, qTransalte downloaded them, works normally in admin section and front end.
strange…
Without qTranslate X, you can also not choose any other language?
If so, ask the question on the general WP forum because qTranslate X works with the default WP options.

May be we do not understand each other. I do not have a problem to install wordpress in any language. I am wondered why qTranslate X generate a message, that wp-content/languages is not writeable, but if it is, noting is written in it? When I used qTranslate in the past, .mo files of enabled languages were downloaded to languages directory. Now this is not happen, is it normal or I have some problem?

Sorry, I think so.

What are the permissions of that directory?
Now this is not happen, is it normal or I have some problem?
Then you have a problem, yes.
What are the permissions of that directory?
777
755 it also does and is more sequre.
But with 777 the language files must also load, but who knows, change the permissions to 755 and deactivate qTranslate X – activate again and switch languages in Admin and see if they are downloading.
Nothing. And by the way, 755 is default for directories on my server, so this not work.
disable qTranslate X and then go to Settings – General and switch Site Language to the other languages with the WP function and see if this works. If so then activate qTranslate X again.
You said:
I can’t change to other language in this way, I have only English there.
There is then, I think, the base of the problem.
Deactivate qTranslate X then go to Dashboard – Updates
and choose Re-install Now. See if you then can choose more languages in Settings – General – Site Language
