I have absolutely no experience in programming, which is why I am looking for some beginner-friendly assistance.

I am the treasurer of the NGO food waste association Mindrespild.nu, based in Nakskov, Denmark. We are a 100% volunteer-run association, entirely dependent on donations and supporting members. We send out a newsletter and invitations for our annual general meeting a few times a year to our 100 current members (a number we hope to increase).

Unfortunately, we are experiencing issues with our communications, as we cannot be sure that our emails reach the recipients – they are often caught in spam filters. Since we do not receive public funding, we rely on donations from our users when they collect surplus food three times a week. Our newsletters contain information intended exclusively for our supporting members. Therefore, my idea is for members to be able to log in to our website using their membership number (which is identical to their phone number) to access these newsletters.

The core of the issue is that I am trying to set up a solution on our WordPress website where a specific page is protected by a password. I am using the Kadence theme, which is ideal for NGOs, but the passwords entered automatically expire after a maximum of one week (option 168). Is there any way to ensure these passwords do not expire, allowing members to log in for as long as they are active members or until I manually remove the password?

As we are a non-profit, volunteer organization, we do not have the funds to pay for technical assistance. Would you be willing to help us implement this solution on a pro-bono basis?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Best regards,

    Kurt Holst

    Hello @kurt007 ,

when you untick the option “Delete used passwords”, then the passwords should not be deleted at all.

Super, many thanks. I was under the assumption that the PW would be removed anyway, regardless of which option was chosen under ‘Expire passwords after x hours’.
