evan i did not enter anything.
i use the avada theme and have no clue of programming. This is the code:
[two_third last=”no”] .. content[/two_third]
[one_third last=”yes”] ..content
[one_half last=”no”] ..content [/one_half]
[one_half last= “yes”] ..content [/one_half]
[/one_third]
Well, I mean, when creating your post (or editing it) , if you scroll down there should be an ‘Excerpt’ field that you can type an excerpt in. I believe that’s how the excerpts are generated on the front end.

I am so ashamed…. i didn’t even know that you could make your own excerpt! Found it, tried it, and then it does show!
So, when using columns,it does not automatically generate an excerpt, but when typing into to excerpt field it does work.
evan thanks for pointing this out, i’ven been looking for hours :).
Not a problem at all. So glad you were able to find the solution. I hate overlooking such a minor detail, and then your just pulling your hair out for the next few hours!
