No Demographics Data After Enabling

I followed the instructions to enable Demographic data in Google Analytics as it is found here.
I enabled demographics in GA and clicked the checkbox to “Enable Demographics and Interest Reports”, but it will not validate and I am not seeing any of the data.
It has been much longer than 48 hours since I did this.
