I have been using UpdraftPlus for several years without problems, but now the scheduled backup is not working and I can not take backup manually either. The last backup was on August 12th. WordPress was also updated on that day to WordPress 7.0.4. Not sure if that WordPress update is the reason or not.

If you cannot backup manually, the most likely cause is that you are out of space on your hosting, can you check this?

Do you mean website hosting or the backup storage location? I am using Google Drive for the backup and I have enough space there.

I mean the hosting (on your server)

I have contacted my hosting service and I was told that there is plenty of free storage there and they can’t see anything wrong at their end.

Can you try removing some backups from your server?

The only other reason for this is file permissions, in which case please use this guide: https://www.malcare.com/blog/wordpress-file-permissions/ or ask your hosting to look at your permissions for you

@dagnyo @vupdraft Had the same happen. The “Next scheduled backups” showed that nothing was scheduled.

Accidentally, I might add, I solved it by going to the tab “Settings” and click “Save Changes” and then the scheduling worked again.

I’m having the same issue. Been trying to backup on Google Drive (paid so enough space) and Dropbox. And it has not been able to backup. Last back up was Oct of last year. It worked until then. But now it shows the blue bar, then it stops and no back up.

What else can I try to do?

    Hi @loapt

Can you create a new thread please and add the backup log. Do no copy and paste the entire log, instead use pastebin.com tool and share the link here.

    Best Wishes,
    Bryle
