Hi bandit123,
Thanks for reaching out.
Please provide further information, e.g., a link to your website and what kind of ad units you try to embed. I assume you tried to embed AdSense ads manually and that there could be a problem related to this kind of ad, but I need clarification.
For debugging, I recommend the following steps:
- Create an ad unit, choose the Dummy ad ad type.
- Apply this ad unit to a Content injection placement, e.g., to inject the ad after the 2nd paragraph.
- Navigate to a post in your frontend and check if this ad unit appears.
There is no general conflict with Elementor. On the contrary, the integration works like in other themes/page builders. If your issue is resolved, you might look at our dedicated tutorial about integrating ads into Elementor.
Best regards,
Joachim
Thanks for the reply, Joachim. After further testing, it seems to be an issue related to responsive and in-article ads. Unfortunately, I’m still unable to determine how to work these into the site. I’ve set fixed size display ads and can get them to appear, but cannot get any responsive type ads to show.
When I check the script errors, I do see the adslot=0 issue showing up. I’ve tried to follow the online documentation and potential fixes, but nothing seems to be working. I didn’t have this issue until upgrading my theme and Elementor to the latest versions. I suspect that I may need to modify some code somewhere within those to fix, but really not certain at this point.
Hi bandit123,
Thanks for your valuable investigations. We describe the error in this manual. In some cases, it is fixable by changing the alignment settings. But usually, this problem appears in a combination of specific websites and AdSense, which cannot identify the available space.
If changing the alignment settings to “default” does not help, I recommend using another AdSense format instead, e.g., Display Ads in the fixed-size mode, such as well-performing rectangle ads.
Best regards,
Joachim
