• I’m having 2 issues with editing Ninja Forms via the WP Dashboard:
    1. existing fields in existing Ninja Forms can’t be twirled open to edit the field settings – unless the WP visual Editor is enabled (I would prefer to have the Visual Editor disabled).
    2. if the Visual Editor is enabled> if an existing Ninja Form field is removed, I cannot save that change and I cannot perform any other form/field editing functions (I have to re-open the form to a new editing session, and then I can perform the next edit/s).
These issues persist when WP Twelve Fifteen is used (am using a Pinboard Child) and all other plugins are deactivated. Ninja Forms support have not been able to find a solution for either of these issues. The workarounds (ie enable Visual Editor; re-open Ninja Form to a new editing session to complete multiple changes) are OK but not satisfactory, since I would prefer to have the Visual Editor disabled.

I recommend asking at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/ninja-forms#postform so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.

Thx James – have done that now (didn’t initially make sense to do, since Ninja Support had already replied to my support request).
I’ll post here if I get solutions, then will close this thread.

Ninja Forms is responsible for the operability of their plugin, so it would be up to them to fix this.

Yes, got that. Just initially confusing since the issues apparently relate to WP’s Visual Editor switch. Many thanks James – I’m sure you have bigger issues to deal with…

Yeah, it’s probably related to the Visual Editor, but we can’t make sure that WordPress works with all 30,000+ plugins. Rather, we trust that the plugin developers can make their (usually one) plugin work with WordPress. 🙂

Totally reasonable approach. I just discovered that the Ninja Form editing panel includes a text entry field (to add ‘Description’ text to form fields), which has ‘visual’ & ‘text’ editor variants. So I suspect that my issues relate to some conflict that occurs btwn the WP visual visual editor & the Ninja Form one. Fingers crossed Ninja can sort this out. Man, who would be a programmer/developer?!?
