• Nice adjustable plugin, but seems not to do all it promised:

Select whether to use random generated name or number to assign to a new anonymous user –> set to Number.
Popup still calls a new user “Clay” or “Kirk”

Show User Avatars in chat –> set to Yes.
It does show avatars, but only the default one for everybody. My profile has a specific avatar attached that is not shown.

Smileys-popup does not work in Google Chrome.

Thank you for your feedback, it is highly valuable for us.

    1. UserName Issue – This is strange as this works pretty well for many websites which are using our plugin. Did you bring new user in incognito mode of the browser? Are you using any server side caching in your WordPress?

    2. Profile Picture – Which plugin are you using for managing avatars on your website? We support plugins which follow the standard WordPress protocol to maintain user avatars.

    3. Smileys popup does work in Google Chrome. Did you check in our demo installation at iflychat.com? Or in your own installation? Or both? Are you using latest Google Chrome?

Also, are you using support mode or community mode of iFlyChat?

I request you to please raise a support ticket here – https://iflychat.com/contact. We will work with you to address all the issues you are facing.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks,
    Shubham

I don’t even know what that means, so I’m guessing no….

Are you using any server side caching in your WordPress?
No, it was a new WP installation, but since it’s working now, it must have been a browsercache issue…

Which plugin are you using for managing avatars on your website?
None, my profile picture comes from wordpress.org, but is not shown when chatting.

Did you check in our demo installation at iflychat.com?
Yes and it worked there, so it must be a problem in my own installation.

In Chrome it does not work (no errors in the JS console) and in Firefox it’s rather slow…

Also, are you using support mode or community mode of iFlyChat?
    Support mode.
