NextGEN Widget – random thumbnail gallery not refreshing

    I just upgraded to version 4.2.3 and the NextGEN Widget (on my blog sidebar) which is set to retrieve 4 random images from all galleries (other than those excluded) stopped working. The same 4 thumbnails are shown.

    I rolled back to version 4.2.2 and it works ok.

    Hi @yuvalp,

    Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for the trouble you’re experiencing with the “NextGEN Widget” displaying a fixed grid of images on each page reload.

    Since we couldn’t replicate the issue on our end with the latest plugin version, I suggest trying the following:

    1. Go to “Admin > Imagely > Settings > Miscellaneous” on your site.
    2. Check the “Use alternative method of retrieving random image galleries” checkbox.

    After making this change, try refreshing the page to see if the images change.
