NextGen Gallery Slideshow not working

I’ve read several discussions about this issue going back 2 years. But I have not read about a definitive solution. I hope one is out there.

I’m using Nextgen-gallery v1.8.3 with the slideshow option. I’m also using the slideshow sidebar widget. My main browser is IE 9, all works perfectly….

However, in all other browsers, FF, Chrome, Safari, Opera, the gallery works fine but the slideshow will not work… nor the widget. In the widget area just a blank space, on my page, just a blank placeholder. Nothing is loading, it doesn’t appear to be hanging, just not displaying….

The location of the swf file is in the proper place, I even tried moving it into the pluggin Nextgen gallery…. did not work…..

I went into my cpanel and diabled and enabled my Hotlink options, I included .swf as a file to show…. nothing…..

I think I tried everything that have been suggested to no avail.
If it didn’t work so well in IE 9, I would think it is just a bad plugin…. I think I have a line of code twisted somewhere.
