The plugin is now not in my list of plugins after I ran a plugin update. When I try to reinstall I get this message.

Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.

  • Hi @smatsuk,

Unfortunately, it seems that the plugin files’ integrity got broken and you will have to manually remove the plugin’s folder “nextgen-gallery” from your site’s file hosting "wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery"using FTP.

Once done, WordPress will allow you to install it new.

Because it has been a month or more since your last reply, I am going to mark this as resolved as I assume you have found a solution. Please feel free to reply again if you still have questions.

    Thanks!
