• hello

i finally managed to install nextgen gallery 1.7.4. and it’s absolutely great. I now have an album and within this album different galleries. my question is now: how can i navigate between the galleries without going back to the top level all the time? for example: my album is calles AA and within this album there are three gallieries called bb, cc and dd. If I’m in gallery bb how can I change to gallery cc without going to the top level (album AA)? is there something like a navigation available to use in nextgen?

i’m not good with coding (php or whatever) at all so it would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me.

    thank you

i found some other people who have the same problem and haven’t got an answer too, so at least i know i’m not alone 🙂 i was just wondering if there is no answer or if the answer is so obvious that nobody bothers to answer or if that subject has already been dealt with so many times that no one answers anymore. i tried Breadcrumb NavXT but this doesn’t really work for me. therefore i would be greatful if somebody could help.

    thanks

NextGEN galleries are created on pages and navigating between pages tends to be done by menus rather than next/prev functions.

You could try puting your galley shortcodes onto posts then you could navigate forward and backward as that’s inherent to posts. Downside is the posts names might not be the best and you lose the hierarchy aspect of how it works with pages.

There are plugins that do ‘next page’ type functionality so have a look at those. Maybe they’ll work with NextGEN.
