NextGen Gallery 2.0.76 Wrong Path
-
Just updated to NGG 2.0.76 and my galleries are redirecting to main photo page.
See Gallery URLLooks like it’s a path error. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

@ken – Have you checked for possible conflicts with this latest version of NextGEN Gallery and you current plugins/theme?
Please try deactivating *all* plugins, temporarily switching to a default WordPress Twenty series theme, ensuring all caches are cleared and then re-activating NextGEN Gallery only.
Thanks!

Hi,
I tried that and it didn’t work. It only worked when inserted just 1 gallery into a post. But when inserting an album, it didn’t work.
For example, if I insert an album with 4 galleries, I can see a gallery to see the thumbnails. But when I click on a thumbnail, it sends me back to gallery listing.
See video demo here tested on localhost, but it’s the same for Live site.
http://screencast.com/t/tZ5jTGxTReEvery time I click, it keeps adding the album name and gallery name in URL – like this
http://localhost/sawpanse/2015/03/05/pix/gallery/pid--1/all-pix/206637/all-pix/206637/all-pix/206637/all-pix/206637/all-pix/206637@ken – Thanks for the video that does help.
A few things I noticed …
If you are trying to display an album then you need to also choose an album display type as well as an album resource. This should address the first invalid template issue.
Since there is already an invalid template condition, I suspect this is why (without saving the IGW changes directly using the save button at the bottom of the modal) could be why the condition continues. Have you also tried clearing the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous after making the changes in the second half of the video?
Clearing the image cache is sometimes needed to see the effects of changes immediately.

Thank you for the quick reply.
In the “customize the display settings” section, choosing “NextGen Basic Thumbnails” doesn’t work. That’s the option I’m having issues with. But if I choose “NextGen Basic ImageBrowswer,” it works. http://prntscr.com/6df0yl (working setting)
I just wanted users to see list of thumbnails first after clicking on a gallery, but this will do it for now.
Not sure why “NextGen Basic Thumbnails”; it used to work.
@ken – It still seems like you are missing a step in the process … perhaps you could outline each step you are taking as in what specifically you are choosing in each panel of the IGW when you insert a display.
Thanks!

Here are the steps again http://screencast.com/t/Q32gs55oCoc
All I want is to have 1 Album with the 2 galleries on the first page, then I’d like to see all the thumbnails from the gallery that I clicked on. Last, I’d like to browse through each image using the the imageBrowser.
I have the exact same problem with version 2.0.77 and latest WordPress.
Maybe I should add I upgraded from 1.5.4.

@ken – OK … try this:
- Open the IGW (as you have shown).
- Select the Basic Extended Album.
- Choose your album (as shown).
- Clear the template selection, unless you are using a custom template.
That should sort out the basic Album display part. If you are using a custom template, then to troubleshoot you should still clear the selection (you will likely need to “delete” the entry in the drop-down).
Next, please ensure you have the “default” NextGEN Basic Thumbnails display set to use the ImageBrowser option under Gallery > Gallery Settings > NextGEN Basic Thumbnails.
Given you are seeing these relative paths as a default on your site for templates, you might also look at using the Reset Option under Gallery > Other Options as in most cases this is not needed and could indicate an underlying issue that may be occurring.
See if that helps to sort out this issue.
Thanks!
