    Good afternoon all

I am having a problem with Nextgen. I want to add a gallery to a page, but when i select “Add nextgen gallery” and the box pops up, i cannot actually select a gallery.

It just sits there with a loading icon when i click the dropdown menu.

I am using the latest version of wordpress and nextgen.

Anyone got any ideas as to what the problem might be?

    Thanks to anyone that helps

  • I’ve had this happen, sometimes you can click it while it’s loading and the list drops down.

I re-installed 1.9.0 over 1.9.2, it’s less buggy and more reliable good luck.

i have just re-installed 1.9.0 after uninstalling 1.9.2 but have had absolutely no joy whatsoever.

It still sits there waiting after i have clicked the drop down arrow.

anyone else got any ideas? This is really annoying me

Anyone else got any ideas about this one, i cant do anything with the site (photography) unless i use nextgen.

Is there an alternative that i could use that would work for a slideshow?

Have you tried using just the shortcode, instead of using “Add Media–>NextGEN Gallery” dropdown menu?

Put these in your page where you want the gallery:

    [nggallery id=6]

    or

    [nggallery id=1 template=caption]

Let me know if that helps.

that should be [nggallery id=1] – for your first gallery, each one you create will be sequentially numbered.

pshag, that worked brilliantly actually. Just a pain not being able to select them from the drop down.

Whilst on the subjest, i have inserted a gallery as a home page slider, but it is sitting to the left of the content area. Any idea how to center the gallery?

No. I asked that question just before I saw yours. Maybe you can bump mine and ask the question there:

You should mark this one as resolved. Glad to be able to help.

    thanks
