    Dear WordPress,

I am using Next Gen gallery and its settings do not seem to be functioning properly. There is a slideshow option that keeps appearing on my webpage, and even though I turn it off in “settings,” it continues to appear. Also, the other options in “settings” fail to change when modified.

Interestingly enough, “Manage Galleries” seems to work just fine.

    Please help!

    Thanks,
    John

@egshow.tv – For existing displays you will need to edit their specific settings. Just click on the preview image in the TinyMCE editor’s visual tab to re-open the IGW (“green button”) then change the settings under the customizations accordion tab for that specific gallery.

Changing options under Gallery > Gallery Settings will affect future inserted displays unless you use shortcodes to insert your displays instead of the IGW.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

    Dear Photocrati,

Thank you for responding to my post, unfortunately, I am unable to comprehend your instructions. I am very new to WordPress and do not know the terminology. I do see the green button you referenced, but…

    What is TinyMCE?
    What is IGW?
    Where is customizations tab?

    Thanks,
    John

@egshow.tv – The TinyMCE is the editor interface of WordPress for post, pages, etc.

The IGW is the “Insert Gallery Window” interface of NextGEN Gallery … “green button” just helps to identify it more easily.

The customization accordion tab should be the third panel down when you open the IGW to insert a gallery display.
