newbie — swf help

Hi
i am trying to find my self around a little in WP and as i read a few threads about how to add a swf in a post i found out i had to turn of the wysiwg tool
but i am not sure if i managed to turn off the right thing…
I went to user -> edit and unchecked the Use the visual editor when writing…
then i added this the code below to the page
But it breaks my theme right now using the default as i am terrible new to WP…

so if any one can tell me what I am doing wrong?
did i turn the wrong thing off ??
and if i did please tell me wher i find what it is i need to turn off please?????
