newbie question on multisites setup

    Hi everyone
    1) Do I have to install a separate wordpress install with different databases for each blog to have the following abilities:

    – ability to install themes, plugins and customize them and have unique design for each blog?
    – ability to assign different permissions for each blog so that different users can different privileges

    Nope. One WordPress install for them all 🙂 Each wordpress blog has it’s own permissions too. The only bit to note is that ONLY the super admin can install themes and plugins. Any of the blogs can us them, though.
