• After much gnashing of teeth, I thought I had found the holy grail of code. Imagine my delight when it actually showed up in the proper side bar location under customize. I was about to dance in the street when I glanced over to the site and it was not located desirably. How could it be? I gave it no direction. So .. more research. And, this is where I have stopped. I have no clue in what order this is supposed to go to get it to finally realize it’s greatest potential.

    Ta-BlaH!
    [custom-sidebar name=”my blog name”] float:right ??

Oh, will someone please help this so very green newb? My ultimate vision is to have custom sidebars for each page of the site. So the pages are each unique, individual and not completely cluttered with the same widget information on each one. I have 3 pages that a plugin has helped me create the above vision. However, I can’t seem to get it to make the latter 3 pages. And in the process, I’ve lost a page in there. How does one do that? Have no clue. :/ That, I fear, is going to be a real problem trying to get back.

http://zencricket1975.com is the site, if you would like to look at what I’m trying to describe. ‘Work With Us’ is the missing page and one of the latter 3 pages without sidebar information.

Thank you for reading! If you can help or have any suggestions, I am open.

  • The Dynamic Sidebars plugin allows you to customise the sidebar content for each page or post. Been using it for a while and it’s very stable and easy to use.

Thank you so much barnez! That is exactly what I’ve been searching for. I should have asked sooner. Would have saved myself days of time. 🙂

Happy to hear that helped 🙂

Have went back and forth with two pages. They are showing the same information with the dynamic widgets plug-in installed. About the time I think I have it figured out – I don’t. My vision is to have unique information on each page as to not clutter up the sidebar with information for 6 pages. If I didn’t need/want the sidebar, I’d just forego it all together.

This is probably such an easy fix, but … I am new and still learning.

Is it possible to do what I’m wanting to do with a theme that only has room for one side bar in the theme?

Any and all advise will be welcomed! Thank you!
