New User Registration

    I am not experienced with WP but I have a site created. but something concerns me.

    I keep receiving emails saying a new user has registered, but I don’t know why or where these people are registering.

    I have a contact page, but its not that. I also have an email subscribers page, but its not that either.

    I can see a long list of names and contacts via my user page of the CP. All the people are shown as subscribers, but subscribers to what and how.

    Can anyone please educate me on the what and why this is happening. Where are they registering exactly

    You can go to Settings >> General. Under ‘Membership’ untick the option ‘Anyone can register’. Hope this helps.
