Hey kator,
Instagram recently changed their API and we thought we had everything in place ready for the changes to go live on June 1st but we discovered an issue after they went live which required the Access Token to be updated again. I apologize for any inconvenience. Could you try doing the following:
1) Log out of your Instagram account
2) Use the button on the plugin’s Settings page to obtain and new token
3) Copy and paste it into the plugin’s Access Token field and save changes
4) Clear your site cache (if you have one active)
Please let me know whether that solves the problem for you, and I hope you’re having a good weekend.
John
Hello, same doubt of Kator. I introduced the new access token before 1st june. I see again the message.
Then, I follow your steps but before doing step 3 I see that the token is exactly the same that the one I introduced before, so I understand it is worthless introducing it again, isnt it?
If you’ve updated the plugin to the latest version then when using the button on the plugin’s Settings page then the Instagram permissions given to the token created should be different. Could you try using the “Button not working?” button and using the tool on our website instead? Then copy and paste that token into the plugin and save the changes.
Thanks!
John
I have the 1.4.6. version, the last version.
I make what you suggested and from the tool in your website I obtain the same access token and user ID. Nothing changes.
(Note: I dont see any problem in the performing of the plugin. Maybe the change is not necessary in my case?)
@ferchup, sounds like you may already have an updated token in that case. If the plugin is working correctly then there’s no need to do anything. If you have an issue in future just let us know.
