• Greeting Everyone,

    I am new to WordPress but not to computers. I have extensive Windows networking experience, ss while I am not a computer newbie, I AM a WordPress newbie.

    I will try to explain the WordPress error(s) I am getting as clearly as I can. Here is the situation;

    I recently took over webmaster duties at my church after the previous webmaster moved to another city and is not being helpful with the site since he left. Our church website address is http://www.truevinecleveland.org It is hosted by Media Temple.

    The error(s) I I see occur anytime someone attempts to leave a blog post or when I attempt to login as WordPress administrator. The error(s) are as follows;

    Warning: Parameter 1 to ec3_filter_posts_where() expected to be a reference, value given in /nfs/c01/h08/mnt/6507/domains/truevinecleveland.org/html/news/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 227

    There are Five (5) of these and they all appear to be the same. They all Identify plugin.php on line 227.

    Line 227 of plugin.php reads;
    $args[0] = call_user_func_array($the_[‘function’], array_slice($args, 0, (int) $the_[‘accepted_args’]));

    I hope I have explained this clearly enough. Thanks for any assistance anyone can give.

    Al Taylor

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Thank you so much esmi, It appears to be your first solution(deactivatin all plugins), the error(s) vanished. Then when I reactivate the events calander plugin the error(s) came back.

    I will follow this line thought and try the rest of your solutions.

    Thank you again

    Sounds like you might have a bad plugin.
