Looks like a very feature packed plugin. Although I have read your documentation and viewed many of the posts, I can’t find what I’m looking for on two things, both very basic.

First I can’t find anything about the format on placeholders. I guessed and added a location of #_LOCATIONID{Cotacachi} and I think that worked, but I’m not sure.

Secondly, on my website, WelcomeToCotacachi.ca, I wanted to show the calendar with the events listed on the days, but I can’t find any information on how to display a calendar. I did add a test event which does show up when I view it but it is not on a calendar.

I might mention that I have six sites in Ecuador, all of which need an events calendar and I will no doubt purchase the Pro version once I know more about how to use the plugin.

    Thank you.

I didn’t realize I had to download and install a different plugin for the calendar. I did install the WP Full Calendar but I can’t get any of the styles to show up.

The problem is when I change the setting for Display calendar in events page? and then save it, the response changes back to “no”. Now I can’t get the event to show up at all. The events page is blank.

    1. you can use event/location placeholder under Events > Settings > formatting > events or location section

    2. you can use EM default fullcalendar [events_calendar] or wp-fullcalendar shortcode [fullcalendar] in your wordpress page or post

also, you can change the calendar theme under WP Settings > WP FullCalendar > jQuery CSS Theme

Thank you, Angelo. My first question was about the format of placeholders. The documentation lists the numerous placeholders that are possible; however, it says nothing about the format.

My second question was about changing the display settings to show a calendar instead of a post. As I said, when I change it to “yes” and save it, it changes back to “no”. My page currently shows nothing.

There is an important event this Sunday here in Cotacachi and I would love to have the calendar and be able to promote this charitable event.

    Appreciate your help, as always.

Placeholders are used as is, there’s no formatting required, just #_LOCATIONID, for example.

The problem of the calendar settings not being saved sounds like a possible jQuery conflict caused by your theme or another plugin. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?

I just wanted to mention that even after I installed the WP FullCalendar I saw the calendar, although it had no style. I then tried to get a style, but now I get nothing at all.

You can adjust the style used by changing the “jQuery CSS theme” under Settings > FullCalendar.

Tried all that. Made no difference. Problem is still the same.

Changing the display settings to show a calendar instead of a post. As I said, when I change it to “yes” and save it, it changes back to “no”. My page currently shows nothing.
