New Tabs in explorer

    Hi, I am totally new to WordPress and have installed WAMP and WordPress on my windows 7×64. I am using internet explorer and when I go to localhost/wordpress everything seems to work ok.
    However when I am editing then viewing my first post IE opens a new tab each time. Is this an IE setting issue or something I messed up during install?

    Just confirmed this is not an IE issue as I get the same behavior in Chrome. Switching to preview each time opens a new tab then when switching back to edit it puts me editing the new tab and leaves the previous one open. So what did I mess up during install?

    There is nothing wrong with your install … this is the default behavior of WP 🙂

    When you click the Preview button in the page/post editor, it will open that page/post in a new tab.

    Thanks for the reply, appreciated. It just did not seem right to me that if I edit and preview 10 times in a row that I would have ten tabs open at the same time.

    Okay, got it 🙂 I had not published. Now I have published and it is working as expected – only the one tab switching between edit and view.
