New shortcode doesn't work

    Hi, David. I wrote on this forum some time ago, when version 4 was first released, but never received an answer. I still have the same problem/question, so I am trying again.

    I am running your version 4.0.13 on a WordPress 4.4 website. I have changed the shortcode on my page to [seamless-donations], but the page then displays a warning text with a bright red background saying that I need to change the shortcode to [seamless-donations]. (I can send you screenshots if you would like.)

    When I change the shortcode back to the supposedly deprecated older version, [dgx-donate], the page displays and functions perfectly.

    What should I do?

    You need to run the conversion to 4.0 mode. Go to your main admin page and see if the Seamless Donations section still shows a gear, instead of a palm tree. If it’s a gear, then [dgx-donate] will be required. If it’s a palm tree, then [seamless-donations] should work.

    If it’s a gear, you should follow the directions in this video:

    You’ll need to make sure you run the migration process, which will turn off the legacy mode and turn on the modern mode.
