Is there a way to create a link that when clicked takes the logged-in user to the Add New admin page and fills in certain content (e.g. sets a Category and adds Custom Fields)?

Vincent Pratt use to have a plugin called Post Templates in the plugin repository that could help with that problem but I can’t find the plugin there. So do a search to find his site to see if that will help you.
