New post notification not working

Hi,
I am just evaluating PublishPress for a new website but it doesn’t seem to be working for email notification when a new post is published. I followed the video guide.
First of all, in the notification list of users only one (of two) users appears.
Second, when a post is published no email is sent. I have Email log installed and unchecked async.
