New page won’t assign nested permalink

    Hello,

    My blog is http://jayakula.org. I haven’t created a new page in a long time, and there have been several updates to WP since then.

    I tried this morning to create a nested sub-page two levels down. I chose a parent page that was one level down from the Main page and numbered the new page properly. However, the permalink that WP automatically assigned to the new page was directly off of the Main page. I tried to type in the correct permalink, but when I saved it, WP deleted the second “/” and made the URL again a direct child of the Main page.

    Any suggestions would be most helpful.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
