3.5 is many years old, is there any specific reason you are running such an old version of WordPress?
I’d suggest backing up the site and running the updates to get it running smoothly. When running these updates check that your theme supports the latest version and also dont forget to install classic editor.
Hope this gets you headed on the correct track to getting your page to show up.
Hello You Wonderful You,
1. I have WP 3.5
You probably meant WP 5.3? Version 3.5 is an ancient one released way back in 2012 😀
5. It shows that the new page had been published but the problem is that it does not show up with my other pages on my website.
A PAGE (unlike a POST) will not appear on your website automatically. That’s by design. You’ll have to place a link to it from your site’s navigation menu before you can click this menu link to view the page on your website.
To do this, kindly go to APPEARANCE => MENUS and add your newly-created page to one of your existing navigation menus.
A POST, on the other hand, would appear on your website automatically, typically under the “Blog” or “News” section, and sometimes even on the homepage. (This may sound very convenient to you, but the two serve different purposes, and you wouldn’t use a POST instead of a PAGE just because of this conference.)
I hope that helps.
Good luck, and stay safe!
Hello Davood and George!
Thank you kindly for your replies.
I indeed have version 3.5 and it is because my site was created by a web designed that I can’t currently locate for assistance and I am too nervous to ruin my site so I have have to do only what she taught me how to do and that was post blog and my new art!
So now that I have something new to offer wanted to add a page hence where I have run into a problem. Davood, yes I will take your advice eventually when I get my hands on a computer and update. If I needed to have someone do this for me would a web designer be the right person to hire? And George, in the meantime I will try your instruction. I will report back and let you know!
Thank you kindly to you both! Have a wonderful day!
A designer or developer would be able to help you. Glad to help once you have more specific questions. In the meantime, I think George has provided some good pointers. Let us know when you have an update and we will do our best o guide you. Keep in mind this is a volunteer based support forum so response times might lag a bit depending on our availability.
Thank you Davood!
Hello George,
I am going to attempt adding the page but want to make sure I am doing it correctly so here is what I see that I think I fill out when I click on Appearance=>Menu
Is this what I fill out:?
URL : http://janadavisart.com/happenings/
Label: Happenings
Then , Click on: Add to Menu
Is there anything else I click on or will this automatically add this new page to my menu?
Thank you! As soon as we are able to venture back out into the world I will connect with a web designer for a tutorial!
Kindly,
Jana
Hello,
Is there anything else I click on or will this automatically add this new page to my menu?
You’ll have to also click SAVE MENU before the change will persist 🙂
Also, instead of using the CUSTOM LINKS option (which requires typing the URL, and possibly making a typo), the page you previously created should be there (under PAGES, above the CUSTOM LINKS) for you to simply select and add.
And finally, some themes have more than one menus or menu locations. So you’ll have to ensure you’re adding the menu item to the correct menu location (see below for an example, but note that the number and names of the menu locations may be different for your theme)

Thank you kindly George! I will give it a try! 😊
