    Hi,
    woocommerce 3.3.5 here.
We are testing the update on a staging site and the subject for new orders comes empty (to seller not to customer).
    Any hint?

    Hi!

Have you tried disabling all other plugins aside from WooCommerce and switching to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen or Storefront and testing?

    Hello,

We have same issue. Did you find solution to this?

    Hi Shane,
I did and had no luck.

But I also did a fresh install of WP+Woocommerce+Storefront and the issue did not present itself.
So I cannot tell any more info.

Can you guide me through some more tests?

    Hey there!

Have you checked to make sure the email has a subject set, via WooCommerce > Settings > Emails?

    Hi Hannah,
    thanks for your message.

Yes I did check it, and that’s another strange thing: if I leave the default (gray) text (which is ok for me) I get “(no subject)” subject.
    BUT
If I modify it in anyway calling the available variables, such as
    “[{site_title}] asdasdasds”
this exactly what I get in the email subject!!
I mean the string “[{site_title}] asdasdasds” (with no true site title!!)
Does it make sense for you? Is it a useful indication of something going wrong (which I can investigate further)?

btw: ofc I’m on a staging site on a subdomain
I also use wpml (jist in case)
But I did all the routine tries (no plugin and storefront theme with only woocommmerce on)

    Thanks for any hint!

That is indeed very helpful! We’ve been seeing this behavior with WPML recently, where parameters in emails aren’t rendering correctly. Are you using WPML by any chance?

Here’s some more information about that:

    Hey Hanna!
    Awesome hint!
Yes, as I said, I do use wpml and the wirkaround their team posted in the forum works for me.

Thank you so much for pointing me in that direction!
