New Install -New Hosting Server- Domain Mapping

    Going to setup a new network install with domain mapping (for unique urls)
    What is the ideal direction to go
    The client is current on Godaddy hosting package (Ultimate) i beleive

    Should the netowrk be on sub domains or sub folders ? Yes I have read the netowrk setup instrcutions etc 😉
    Do we need a static IP?

    I just cant have issues down the road or need a backup plan if the domain mapping breaks… ( hard core to htaccess)

    Any insight would be great

    If you;re domain mapping it’s irrelevant.

    Do we need a static IP?

    It’s not required – unless your HOST says so. Some do if you go for subdomains.

    Domain mapping breaking is low-risk and is mostly server side.

    I dont want to put you on the spot but from the hundreds of responses you have posted.. If I could ask you question about what hosting service would you recommend.for MU… or that you have had the most success with ?

    Mods aren’t allowed to recommend hosts in the forum.

    (on their websites, however, they can mention whatever they want. that’s HINT. 😀 *cough* my tutorials site *cough*)
