Hi,
Under Ultimate Member > User Roles, be sure that the option force hiding adminbar in frontend is set to no. Also sync the user role with the WP native role sufficient to allow posting.
Best regards,
Rob
Thx foe your answer, unfortunetely is still not working:
In order to allow your users to post, you have to allow them to have access to the admin panel. Best to my knowledge, there is no way in free UM to do this at the front end. This implies that your “VIP” users have to be WP ‘authors’.
Other Group – “members” haven’t problems with posting from front end. Members have 2 additional buttons on the profil page – “my post” & “add post”
Are you on paid UM version subscription? I’ve never seen those buttons you described available anywhere in version 1.3.26.
OK Thanks. I didn’t know there was a button to post from a profile page in ultimate member.
I work with a modified an older version of my own. I use WPUF (user front end) and Frontier, so that’s 2 plugins to handle any authorized users who can do blog posting.
On one, users can post from their UM profile tab called ‘Add Post’ and can see their posts in the next tab called ‘My Blogs’.
The other plugin allows users to edit any posts directly from the front end, but that’s not all, they can also moderate, tag, change categories, trash and even ban ips.
It’s full control for both the admin and users. And one can set permission roles anyway one wants it…
sorry my mistake, i’m also using WPUF. Maybe there ist problem with this plugin and not with UM?
Sorry, the UM plugin authors are nice enough to allow me to post here thus I won’t be discussing WPUF as I’d be breaking the rules. That said, it looks like you might have answered your own question already…
Yes best to contact them about this π
