New error introduced in v. 1.7.4

Today I updated the plugin to version 1.7.4 and discovered the following error:
Warning: call_user_func() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class ‘PLL_Model’ does not have a method ‘get__language’ in /[…]/wp-content/plugins/polylang/include/model.php on line 401
I have no clue about the deeper workings of this plugin and to my knowledge I haven’t fiddled with that file ever. Has anyone experienced the same behaviour and found a way to resolve this?
BTW: I really appreciate the polylang plugin! Great work.
