New ‘code editor’ NOT working

Hi, there!

The recent update 1.5.0 includes a new feature: the addition of the ‘wp code editor to the page HTML setting’…

…but it’s not working.

Now it’s not possible edit the HTML code in ‘Display’ tab.

It became greyed, frozen and not editable.

Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem, and I have to disable “Maintenance Switch”.

Other strange things has happened within admin area:

1) Statistics from JetPack don’t load. They keep trying and trying loading and nothing happens.
The same problema happens to other two statistics plugins.

2) When I hover menu items in left menu within admin area it doesn’t show sub-itens.
I have to click in the menu itens, search and click in individual sub-itens.

After disabling ‘Maintenace Switch’ all problems disappeared.

I hope it helps developer fix and improve this great plugin.

Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience.
I will try to solve this issue asap.
Maybe today the 1.5.1 can fix the issue.

I first try to solve the disabled code field and then if other bugs will persist, i will remove the code editor.

Hi,

Thank you.

Now the code editor is not frozen and can be edited but not transfer changes to Preview page.

The feature ‘wp code editor to the page HTML setting‘ is not working and doesn’t show its editing tools or editing window border but shows line’s numbers and highlighted HTML code.

All other bugs described above were fixed.

Can you send me a screenshot of the settings page please?
The wp code editor is just for syntax coloration, no editing tools.

Oh, ok.

This is the “old” page (version 1.4.0 of your plugin) in a staging environment:

Any changes made in editor remain not being transferred to ‘Preview page‘.

In version 1.4.0 any changes were shown in ‘Preview page‘ before saving the settings. It was great!
