New “Checkout”

    I would like to use Stripe’s new chargeback protection service but it requires that you be on the “new” version of “checkout”. I reached out to Stripe’s support and they said the WooCommerce Stripe plugin was using the “old API”. And pointed me to this document: https://stripe.com/docs/payments/checkout

    Any advice or idea if this new service will be supported in WC?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out. You can use Stripe Radar for their chargeback protection service, and this is currently supported by the extension as of version 4.2.0: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/master/changelog.txt

    Can you make sure that your Stripe extension is up-to-date?

    Hi again-

    I just wanted to reach out and provide you with an update. I apologize, but I misinformed you on this one. Stripe Radar does offer the chargeback protection service but only for integrations with new version of Checkout. Our extension does not integrate with the new Checkout at this time.

    Hi @dmorton91,

    I’ve checked in with one of our developers, and currently it’s on hold for development, and there’s no ETA as far as when we or anyone else will get to it. However, in terms of chargeback protection, Stripe does plan to expand that beyond the “new Checkout”, so hopefully this will be available soon.

    Any news on this, when will the Woocommerce Stripe plugin support the new checkout?

    Chargeback is still limited to new checkout only 🙁
