    Hello there.

After an OVH warning, I tried to use your free plugin.
Now, when I use WooCommerce to send email for NEw Order, for exemple, I always have a kind of “You have exceeded the limit of 200 messages per hour and per account” error…
But I have never made 200 tests ! may be 4 max !
    Any idea ?

    Hi @patrickhaond,

    Thanks for reaching out!

That error is coming from your email provider (probably OVH), not WP Mail SMTP. It means your site has hit OVH’s hourly sending limit of 200 messages.

Since you only sent a few manual tests, your site is likely being spammed by bots. Automated bots are probably submitting fake WooCommerce orders or form entries, and each one triggers a notification email from your site, silently eating up your 200/hour limit without you realizing it.

    To fix this:
    – Add a CAPTCHA (Cloudflare Turnstile, Google reCAPTCHA, or hCaptcha) to your WooCommerce checkout, registration, and contact forms.
    – Check your WooCommerce Orders and WordPress Users list for fake entries. That will show which form the bots are targeting.

Once the bots are blocked, your legitimate emails will go through normally again.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
