Hi,
Thanks for writing! For the moment we are not able to replicate a similar issue.
The first thing to troubleshoot here would be to check for a potential plugins conflict. To do this safely, please use the Troubleshoot mode presented here to temporarily disable any other plugins except the Neve theme https://docs.themeisle.com/wordpress/theme-doesnt-work-as-expected-troubleshooting-guide
Let me know how that goes.
Kind regards!

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. All my plugins are deactivated, and the problem remains the same. When I’m in edit mode and I look at the page source code, the Neve style.css file isn’t included (I’m working on a child theme). However, it works perfectly for a normal user (in this case, the style.css file is correctly called in the page source code). I tested by reverting to the previous version of WordPress (6.9.4), and it works normally (the style.css file is correctly called and applied when I’m in edit mode).
Hi,
From your message, it looks like the issue is most likely coming from your child theme. Can you please confirm that the issue is not visible when using the main Neve theme?
If that’s the case, you’d need to review the code you’ve added in the child theme, as it’s possible it would require updates, to match with the changes done in the latest WP release, and also with the latest Neve updates.
Thank you!

Hello,
Thank you again for your reply. When I use the Neve theme directly (not the child theme) in normal user mode, only the file “/wp-content/themes/neve/style-main-new.min.css” is injected into the page source code (the style.css file is not injected). When I’m in edit mode, neither the style-main-new.min.css nor the style.css file is injected. I uninstalled and reinstalled Neve, cleared all my caches, but the problem persists.
Neve is a very good theme (I’m currently using version 4.2.4 on more than 10 sites), but since the WordPress 7 update, this editor problem is the same on all my sites. Do you have any idea how to get an editor that respects the defined CSS styles, as this is preventing me from working with graphics normally? Just to reiterate, when I revert to the previous version of WordPress, the Neve child theme works perfectly for users and when I’m in edit mode.
Have a good day.
Hi,
Thank you for getting back to me.
Unfortunately, for the moment I’m not sure to replicate the issue.
To make sure I fully understand the behavior and don’t miss any nuances, could you please share a short video recording (using a tool like Loom) showing the issue in action? Specifically, it would be incredibly helpful if the video could show:
- The page source/inspector when logged in as a normal user (showing just
style-main-new.min.css).
- The editor screen demonstrating that the CSS isn’t loading and how it affects your graphics work.
- Please ensure the test in the video is done using the main Neve theme directly (not the child theme), just so we can rule out any theme-level discrepancies.
Once we can see exactly what is happening under the hood, we’ll be in a much better position to pinpoint why this is happening specifically after the WordPress update on your setup.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation, and I hope you have a great day too!
Best regards!
