Need Theme suggestion

    Hi all. First post, so be kind.

    I am putting up a site for my band. I only want a front page with a logo, pic, blog feed on the left and a a music player to the left. I would like it to be an html5 player so the ipad crowd can use it.

    …and that’s it. no other pages, no store, no galleries, no videos. This site is mainly for booking, so a promoter can go to it, hear us, see us and read a short blog post with activity.

    Anybody know of anything like this?

    This page from the gallery would be great, but without all the bells and whistles and other pages. I Particularly like their music player: http://www.troutmusic.com/

    I think you’d be better off using a different theme. Try looking for a 3-column theme with left & right sidebars so that you have the 2 sidebars that you will need to start with.

    If you’re interested in a theme specifically designed for music / band websites with integrated music players etc, you could also consider the commercial themes from:

    @esmi, I’ll take a look.

    @ premium, I’ll have a look at those as well…I am new enough to this that I don’t even know where to look, and the few premium themes I found seemed to have lots of features I don’t need and cost a lot.

    I kind of can’t believe a single-page band page doesn’t exist…all I really want is what a myspace page used to be, lol. (No, I’m not using myspace!)

    I also figure I should just bite the bullet and figure this stuff out…the last time I was doing it, it was all html.

    I ended up going with one from mybandtheme.com

    Looks good and seems to have what I need, and at $50, its a price I can afford.

    …of course their forums and site seem to be down right now, lol.

    Anybody want to try connecting so I can see if the error message I am getting is just something on my computer?
