there’s your symbolic link 🙂

Thanks. But there’s one more thing I’m very perplexed with. How do I change the username and password values on the wp-cache-maker-config.php?
did you read the permalink page? Or read the readme.txt?
“Once unzipped, There is one file that you should edit, wp-cache-maker-config.php. It contains your login name and password to access the script. Open that file in a plain text editor and locate this line:
alice = “goober”
In the above example, alice would be your login name and goober would be your password. Change those values, and save the file.”
That’s fairly straightforward 🙂
I did everything you guys told me to. But unfortunately when I tried to create the symbolic link, I get the following message:
Fatal Error!
proc_open() has been disabled for security reasons
in /home/vol3/byethost11.com/b11_706581/crazyharp81602.byethost11.com/htdocs/WordPress/wp-cache-symlinker.php, line 249.
How am I going to fix it now?
Never mind! I’ve finally found a solution to all this. Anyone of you who has a major problem with trying to create the symbolic link because of server blockage and other reasons has got to add this plugin
http://twentythree7.com/wp-cache-nosymlink/
This plugin already has the advanced-cache.php file needed to make the cache work. Thus, sparing everyone the trouble of trying to make this plugin work manually.
Check it out!
BTW, Don’t forget to create a cache folder in your wp-content folder. 🙂
